The folk dress is made of white linen and is the most remarkable from an artistic point of view. A large share in the value and popularity of the Čičmian costume is the embroidery, which was created by its technical perfection, richness of motifs, ornamental and colourful composition. It is dominated by white, yellow, orange and ocher colours, this embroidery is the only one of its kind in Slovakia. It is made with a flat stitch and made using the cut-out technique. You can see this costume in the Objects of Folk Architecture in Čičmany, where it is displayed during opening hours.
