The second collector's piece, which will be available at the Bratislava Collector's Days, is the euro souvenir model SPECIMEN, with a Slovak emission code. This is a special overprint in red.
By default, on banknotes, the overprint SPECIMEN is used to indicate the bank pattern provided by national banks to other central banks, as a currency pattern for new issues. Banknotes marked in this way and provided as a sample were thus protected against possible use in payment transactions.
