In 2022, the Gemersko-Malohontské museum commemorates the 140th anniversary of its foundation (it was founded in 1882). On this occasion, it prepared an exhibition for visitors entitled The latest and restored collection items of the Gemersko-Malohontský Museum, where the collection items acquired for the collection fund in the last period are presented to the visiting public. At the exhibition, many collection items are exhibited for the first time.
On the occasion of the 140th anniversary of its founding, the Gemersko-Malohontské Museum is issuing a 0 Euro Souvenir with its own motif, which depicts the historical building of the Gemersko-Malohontské museum and a typical pot of Gemer pottery.
The Euro Souvenir of the Gemersko-Malohontské Museum is the first edition presenting the National Cultural Monument in the Rimavská Sobota district.
The Euro Souvenir will be on sale from September 14, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. at the ticket office of the Gemersko-Malohontský Museum.
After purchasing a Euro Souvenir in the amount of EURO 3, you are cordially invited to a tour of the 140-year-old museum, where you can see the permanent national history exposition consisting of parts of natural science-archaeology-history-ethnology-history of art, as well as current exhibitions: The latest and restored collection items of the Gemersko-Malohontský Museum and the 70th anniversary of the Kurinecká Dubina Nature Reserve.
Entrance fee to the museum: EURO 4 for adults, EURO 2 for children and pensioners.
